Krishnagiri district collector suspends ration shop salesman over inadequate stock
KRISHNAGIRI: A ration shop salesman in Chennasandram village was suspended on Wednesday over discrepancy in the stock meant for public distribution.
The stock available for public distribution at the ration shop was found to be inadequate. “The inventory recorded did not align with the actual stock in the shop,” the collector said.
Officials from the cooperative department were then instructed to suspend K Aravind, the ration shop salesman.
The suspension order was executed the same day, and a new salesman was appointed within hours to ensure the shop could continue operations.
