Industrial estate, printing cluster and ankle chain manufacturing centre opened in Salem district

SALEM: Chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday inaugurated an industrial estate, a printing cluster and a silver ankle chain manufacturing centre in Salem district through videoconferencing from Chennai.

The industrial estate is located in Umayalpuram near Pethanaickenpalayam while the printing cluster is in Seelanaickenpatty and the silver ankle chain manufacturing centre is in Ariyagoundampatti.

The silver ankle chain manufacturing facility was developed at a cost of Rs 25.34 crore while the printing cluster was set up at a cost of Rs 13.46 crore and the industrial estate at Rs 4 crore, district collector R Brindha Devi said.

The silver ankle chain manufacturing unit occupies 1.209 acres and has 102 rooms while the printing cluster is built on 1.029 acres and has 37 public service centres.
