Ranchi: The wife of murder victim Rambali Yadav was among the four arrested and two detained for the case under the Chanho police station limits. The woman had planned the murder after she did not get money from land sale by the victim, police said on Saturday. The arrested were identified as Champa Oraon, besides Vishnu Oraon, Vikas Oraon, and Ashish Kumar, police added. Ranchi SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar said, “Rahul Yadav, the victim’s son from first marriage, lodged an FIR stating that his father was missing for the past six months and feared that he has been killed. Khalari DSP Ramnarayan Choudhary arrested Champa. During interrogation, she confessed that she had hired shooters for a sum of Rs 30,000 to kill her husband after he gave money from land sale to his first wife.” The contract killers from Budmu shot dead Rambali and threw his body into a well. They closed the well. Meanwhile, Champa had told the family members of Rambali’s first wife that she, along with Rambali, was going to Kerala and would get in touch with them after they get a new sim. The victim’s body was excavated from the well in the presence of a magistrate. A country-made pistol, three cartridges, and two bikes were seized from the arrested, police said.
