Wasseypur gang lobs bombs at two Dhanbad eateries

Dhanbad: The criminal gang of the notorious Wasseypur-based fugitive, Prince Khan, hurled crude bombs at two restaurants situated along the GT Road near Topchanchi on Thursday night.
Khan’s shooter Major has claimed responsibility for the attack and asked the restaurant owners to pay the extortion demanded by him. Major also threatened to kill them if they did not fulfil his demands. Two crude bombs were hurled at the Shane-e-Punjab restaurant at about 10 pm. While one of the bombs exploded and damaged a small portion of the asbestos sheet above the restaurant’s kitchen, the other did not go off.
Similarly, two country-made bombs were lobbed at Hotel Mahi. However, the bombs did not explode.
Soon after, a letter went viral on social media where the mystery shooter of Khan took responsibility for the incidents.
Though Dhanbad police said earlier that they have nabbed all prime associates of Khan, including Major, all threat letters released on social media have the same handwriting with Hindi words written in English. The matter was immediately reported to the Topchanchi police station in-charge Jairam Prasad following which the cops visited the restaurants and collected the crude bombs and parts.
Talking to TOI, Shan-e-Punjab owner Karamveer Singh said the CCTV footage showed one bike-borne miscreant lobbing the bomb from the flyover.
