Villagers beat 'rapist-killer' to death

DUMKA: A man from Dondiya village in Ramgarh district was lynched by a mob of 100-150 people early on Thursday for raping and killing a seven-year-old girl on Tuesday.
Police said the girl and her parents had gone to Jalwe to attend the wedding ceremony of her maternal uncle on Tuesday. Mithun Hasda (30) was at the ceremony. The girl went to take a bath in a rivulet along with other children where Hasda teased them in an inebriated condition.She then went missing.
DSP Roushan Gudiya said villagers found the girl's body on Wednesday after which the other girls revealed Hasda's misbehaviour. He was tied to a tree and beaten to death.
