GARHWA: Two missing children's bodies were found on Thursday from a pond in Kalyanpur village under sadar police station area in the district, some 7km from the district headquarters.
Divers pulled out six-year-old Shamshad Ansari and five-year-old Danish Ansari's bodies from an eight feet deep pond. Both the children had been missing since Sunday. They had gone to play on a nearby ground and were last seen until 3.30pm.

The missing children's fathers had registered a missing children report with the sadar police station.
Villagers feel there is more to the case than what meets the eye and don't think the children were drowned. They suspect that the minors were murdered and their bodies thrown into the pond to hide evidence
Sources in the village said Danish's body was floating on the pond while Shamshad's was found dumped on the sand.
Villagers have demanded a probe into the matter and action against the culprits. One of the dead children's relatives said, "The children's lives could have been saved if the police had immediately swung into action after being informed about the missing children."
SP, Garhwa Mayur Patel said, "Some villagers have been taken into the custody for interrogation. Police are investigating the matter."
