Dumka: Two friends were killed when their two-wheeler collided with a sand-laden truck near Gamharia on NH-133 in Godda district on Sunday, police said.
The duo were reportedly out looking for one of their mobile phones which they had lost the day before, sources said.
The deceased were identified as Satyam Kumar (22) of Nunajor and Vipin Kumar Mandal (25), a native of Bhagalpur district.
Mahagama police rushed the victims to a local community health centre, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
“The accident involved an unidentified vehicle, and efforts are underway to trace it,” Mahagama police station in-charge Manoj Kumar Pal said.
