RANCHI: Perhaps in a first for Jharkhand, Naveen Nischal Tigga, a third-year tribal student pursuing a BSc course in hospitality and hotel administration at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Ranchi, an autonomous institute under the state department of tourism, arts & culture, sports and youth affairs has bagged a Rs 18 lakh per annum offer from the prestigious Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Centre of the NM Hospitality group located at Emmitsburg in the US.

An elated Naveen's father, Charo Oraon, expressed satisfaction and praised the IHM for offering excellent education.

Tigga said, "As for a fresher, I have received a great offer from the Washington-based group. I cannot get an opportunity like this in India. The salary of hotel management in India has decreased after the Covid-19 pandemic."

Tigga said he will be joining the hotel in the first week of July.
