Trailer Truck Accident Kills Driver and Helper on NH-2 Hazaribag

Hazaribag: A driver and a helper of a trailer truck, were killed on the spot after the vehicle fell into a ditch in the Danua Bhanua Ghati section on NH-2 under the jurisdiction of the Chouparan police station in Hazaribag district on Tuesday, police said.The driver was identified as Pankaj Kumar (35), and the helper as Satish Kumar (20), the officer in-charge of Chouparan police station, Saroj Choudhury, said. They were travelling to Bihar after loading iron rods at Bokaro last night.The incident took place around 8:30 am when the vehicle was moving along a slope, lost control, and fell into the ditch 7 feet below. The police said that the driver and the helper were buried under the debris of the vehicle. The entire load of rods fell on them, and they died on the spot.Later, the police took out the bodies from the debris and sent them to CHC Hospital at Chouparan, where the doctor declared them dead.
