Talking to TOI, Oraon said, “Congress has done a lot for Lohardagga MLA

Sukhdeo Bhagat

but he deserted the party just before the polls,” adding that Bhagat was aware that he would lose the polls even if he gets a party ticket so he wants to try his luck from BJP.

Oraon, who was present at the party’s Jan Akrosh Rally, said Bhagat deserted the party alone, he failed to take any loyal Congressmen with him.

He said the voters will teach him a lesson in the coming polls.

He termed Bhagat an opportunist and said, "It is good that Bhagat has left the party as new eligible faces will get opportunity to contest on Congress ticket.”

Oraon, pointing at the huge gathering at the Jan Akrosh Rally in Jagananthpur in Kolhan, which was attended by former chief minister

Madhu Koda

and lone Congress MP from Jharkhand

Geeta Koda

, said the masses are fed up with the anti-people policies of Raghubar-led NDA government in state and they are waiting to vote them out of power in coming polls.
