Jharkhand allows inter colleges to continue

RANCHI: The state government has decided to allow admission to intermediate section of the constituent and affiliated colleges in the state for the 2023-25 academic session. The decision was taken in a meeting held by secretary school education and literacy department on the direction of chief minister Hemant Soren.

It may be noted here that around four lakh students have passed matriculation from Jharkhand Academic Council. A large number of them were facing difficulties in taking admission in plus 2 schools. Earlier, the government had prohibited admission in the intermediate section of colleges under National Education Policy, which envisages education up to +2 in schools.
