Spl trains for pilgrims travelling to Kumbh
Ranchi: Indian Railways will run special trains for passengers travelling to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh to attend the Mahakumbh, beginning later this month. The Ranchi railway division of the South Eastern Railways (SER) would run a special train from Ranchi railway station to Tundla in Uttar Pradesh on January 19. "The train would leave Ranchi at 10:30am and reach Tundla the next day at 6am after halting at Muri, Bokaro, Gomoh, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Prayagraj and Govindpuri stations. It would begin its return journey on January 20," the division said. The Kumbh special train (08425) connecting Bhubaneswar in Odisha to Tundla, would make six trips between January 1 and February 26. It would halt at Muri junction railway station. The Titlagarh-Tundla Kumbh special train (08314/08313), which will make six trips between January 9 and February 27, would stop at Ranchi railway station. The East Central Railways (ECR) would run five special trains connecting Howrah and Tundla railway stations and Howrah and Bind railway stations. The trains (03021, 03023, 03025, 03029, 03031, 03032) would operate from January 2 to February 27 and stop at Dhanbad, Gomoh, Parasnath, Hazaribag Road, and Koderma railway stations in Jharkhand, the ECR said. "We are evaluating the occupancy of trains bound for north India and Prayagraj. Authorities will run more special trains, if needed," Nishant Kumar, the chief public relations officer (CPRO) of Ranchi railway division, said.
