Soon, modern facilities at all govt dental care units: Irfan
Ranchi: Health minister Irfan Ansari on Saturday assured that all govt dental units will be equipped with necessary equipment and modern facilities to enhance dental healthcare in the state. He was speaking at the state-level dental conclave organised by the Jhasa Dental Cadre."The commitment ensures that no dental surgeon in the state will face shortages in their practice, marking a pivotal step towards improving dental services for citizens," Ansari added.Ansari emphasised the importance of safety for medical professionals. He stated, "I will not tolerate any kind of misbehaviour or assault with doctors on duty. We are committed to providing quality healthcare services to every citizen of the state. The role of dental surgeons is extremely important, and the govt will make every effort to meet all their demands and needs."The conclave saw participation from about 150 dental officers and 20 dental hygienists from various govt health centres. Vice president of JHSA Dental Cadre, Dr Sharad Kumar, presented a twelve-point demand letter to the health minister, outlining crucial requests, including the promotion of dentists and salary increases for those under the National Health Mission.Dr Thakur Mrityunjay Singh, JHSA state president, raised concerns regarding the rights of civil surgeons, echoing the need for strengthening their positions for effective operations.
