Slain L'daga SP remembered

LOHARDAGA: Deputy commissioner Ratan Kumar and SP Jittendra Kumar Singh garlanded the parents of slaim Lohardaga SP Ajay Kumar Singh Ramashray Prasad Singh and Krishna Devi and presented them with shawls and Rs 21,000 on the death anniversary of the former IPS officer on Tuesday.
The programme was organized by Shahid Ajay Kumar Singh Trust. Ajay Kumar Singh, who as an SP here, had sacrificed his life fighting against the then Naxalites of People's War Group in Peshrar forest of Kisko.
Jawans of Distrcit Armed Force accorded an armed salute to the slain SP before his statue at Ajay Udhyan. Dignitaries led by the slain SP's parents, the DC and the SP offered floral tribute to the statue. An all-religious prayer was also held. DC Kumar said the war against Naxalism would continue with everybody's efforts.
