Arjun Munda will attend the SKM University (SKMU) convocation on March 23 as the chief guest while the governor-cum-chancellor of state universities, C P Radhakrishnan, will preside over the event, the university said in a statement.
The convocation was rescheduled twice earlier from February 22 and March 22 due to the new governor’s previous engagements, it added.
Vice-chancellor Sona Jhariya Minj presided over a meeting on Thursday to review the preparations for the event.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha said 55 toppers of different academic streams of the last academic session will be handed over gold medals and certificates while 56 others shortlisted, including PhD holders, will be awarded certificates by the dignitaries during the convocation.
Notably, the SKMU has got a new convocation centre near its old building and Rs 28 lakh has been earmarked for the event.
