Chatra: A human skeleton was found in the forest of Karma under the Mayurhund police station limits on Thursday. While the skull was found a few metres away, the other parts were lying near a trouser and gamchcha. Sources said villagers spotted the skull and informed the police.The officer-in-charge of the Mayurhund police station, Sanjay Kumar Singh, said the skeleton has been sent to the Chatra sadar hospital for forensic tests. He said, “The skeleton is old. No one has lodged any complaint lodged in the police station, so far. We are probing the case and have sent the skeleton for forensic tests.” TNN

An exceptionally well-preserved Camptosaurus dinosaur skeleton, named "Barry," will be auctioned in Paris. Delhi: Mosquito breeding found at 83 of 197 police stations

Mosquito breeding was found on 83 out of 197 police stations inspected by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The MCD conducted the inspections as part of a campaign to control mosquito-borne diseases in the national capital. The MCD has issued legal notices, filed prosecutions, and levied fines against violators. Additionally, they have conducted house visits, sprayed insecticides, and introduced larva-eating fish at various locations. However, the MCD has not released a weekly dengue report in almost 50 days.

1 dies, culvert caves in as rain pounds Chatra

Heavy rain in Chatra district has caused a culvert to be washed away, affecting the livelihoods of dozens of villages. In addition, a 55-year-old man drowned in a rain-fed river while taking a bath. The culvert provided access to the Itkhori block headquarters, resulting in a detour of 30 km instead of 10 km. The district officials have assured support to the man's family. The rain also damaged kutcha houses in different blocks of the district.
