SIT begins probe into treasury scam

Ranchi: Following state govt’s direction, CID has formed an eight-member special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the illegal withdrawals from the treasuries of Bokaro and Hazaribag, it said on Friday.The CID stated that the SIT will be headed by inspector general Pankaj Kamboj. Two superintendents of police (SP), three deputy SPs and two inspectors are other members. The CID further said that the SIT has initiated a detailed investigation of the cases in Bokaro and Hazaribag, adding that direction has been issued for a quality probe.Earlier, police had registered cases under various sections of BNS at Hazaribag’s Lohsinghna and Bokaro steel city police stations in this connection.
