Scientists probe cause behind house fire

Dhanbad: Scientists from CIMFR, upon directives from the district authorities, on Tuesday probed the cause of the unexplained fire, which raged for a week at a home in Master Para in Hirapur.
A three member team of scientists inspected the home of Anshuman Choudhary, where fire had been raging since Jan 27, but failed to conclude the reason.
The residence has experienced a series of unusual fires beginning January 27, with an inverter battery explosion. Subsequently, a suitcase ignited inside the dwelling recently.
Upon the family's return home on February 28, they discovered a burning mattress and smoke-filled room. Notably, whilst the room was blackened by the fire, other items remained intact. Subsequently, various household items, including clothing, calendars and other possessions have spontaneously ignited at various intervals. The family moved out to a hotel on Monday.
CIMFR chief scientist Santosh Kumar Rai said, "With no flammable gas, there is no clear reason for the fire incidents yet."
