Rs 1.5 lakh looted from trader's house

Three armed criminals forcibly entered the house of a noted businessman of Barhi Amitesh Ranjan located at Chilauti More and escaped with Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, jwellery and a cell phone from his residence.

HAZARIBAG: Three armed criminals forcibly entered the house of a noted businessman of Barhi Amitesh Ranjan located at Chilauti More and escaped with Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, jwellery and a cell phone from his residence.
In his FIR, the victim said three armed criminals after knocking the door of his house forcibly entered and took his wife and daughter into custody and demanded keys of the almirah at gun-point.

After this, they opened the locker of the almirah and took out Rs 1.5 lakh cash and escaped. Before escaping they forced the daughter and wife of the victim to hand over the jwellery including gold bangles and ear rings.
The traders of Barhi have protested the incident.
However, Barhi SDPO Arun Kumar Sinha held the victim responsible for this robbery as his residence had no proper doors and anybody could have entered his house any moment.
The victim, he said is running a cotton factory near the SDO office and no one resides on his factory premise. He said police are investigating the case but till now no arrests have been made.
