RMC yet to implement specific steps to check Covid-19 spread
Sushant Jha, a resident of Argora, said, "It is crucial for local government authorities such as the RMC to take immediate action and provide clear instructions to the public on how to stay safe from the pandemic. Ensuring that proper measures are in place, such as monitoring and cleanliness protocols, is essential in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in the community. "
Rohit Kumar, a resident at Ratu, said," As cases continue to rise, it is important for the RMC to wake up and take the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of the residents. They need to return with appropriate sanitation procedures in place. The public's well-being should be the top priority, and the RMC must not delay implementing necessary measures to combat the virus effectively."
RMC administrator Ameet Kumar said, "Consistent monitoring is in place, ensuring cleanliness is upheld throughout. However, the implementation of sanitation on regular basis and other measures will commence upon the receipt of guidelines from the department."
Meanwhile, people are becoming more conscious about the virus and taking measures to prevent its spread. From maintaining social distance to using hand sanitization, individuals are taking steps to protect themselves from the virus. Many are making efforts to limit social interactions and avoid gatherings.
RMC, police join hands to tackle traffic
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation and traffic police have launched a joint initiative to address traffic congestion caused by the construction of three flyovers. The initiative includes an anti-encroachment campaign to improve traffic flow and road safety. The corporation will optimize road infrastructure, implement smart traffic management systems, and enhance public transportation facilities. The traffic police will enforce traffic rules, streamline intersections, and monitor traffic using advanced technology. The initiative also involves public awareness campaigns and strategic urban planning to alleviate congestion hotspots.
Uttarakhand on alert to prevent Covid JN 1 spread
The Uttarakhand government is on high alert as the shadow of the JN 1 sub-variant of the coronavirus looms large. The state has issued a comprehensive advisory to all districts and hospitals. With 142 active cases registered, the state is preparing to handle potential outbreaks. All hospitals in the state have been put on alert and strict adherence to Covid prevention guidelines is mandated. The Karnataka government has also mandated mask-wearing for individuals over 60 years of age and those with specific health conditions.
Etawah safari opts for measures to save animals from biting cold
Etawah Safari Park in Kanpur has taken measures to protect animals from the cold by installing electric heaters, temperature instruments, and polythene mats in the enclosures. CCTV is used for constant monitoring. The animals' diets have been increased to help them cope with the harsh weather, and hay grass blankets have been placed in the carnivore enclosures. The park, spread over 350 hectares, is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including 100 species of birds and reptiles.
