RANCHI: Prominent roads and lanes used for everyday commute in Ranchi are in a dilapidated condition, rue local residents. The

, connecting Morabadi and Bariatu, primarily stretching over a kilometre, is used by pedestrians, two-wheeler and four-wheeler riders. The road, last constructed over three years ago, requires immediate repair to avoid any mishaps.

The condition of roads from TV Tower Ratu Road to Metro Gali is no different. Broken and unrepaired roads, littered with waste have been a major concern for residents and commuters. Ram Kumar, a panipuri seller on Ratu Road, said that the roads were constructed barely six to seven months ago, but its condition tells a very different story. "At night, people often can't judge the state of the roads and meet with accidents."

Boda Hembrom, daily wage worker, has been using the same route for everyday commute on his bicycle. "Who do we approach? There is no one who would listen to our grievances."

"The roads were shortly broken after construction for drain construction. I have asked them to first finish the work alongside unconstructed roads and not touch the newly constructed roads."
