RANCHI: With the matric results of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) already out, colleges in the city have started giving out forms for admission to intermediate courses.
St Xavier’s College (Ranchi), known to be the first preference for students, sees a huge rush everyday. There are 640 seats each for all the three streams – Arts, Science and Commerce – and admission will be done on the basis of entrance test.
Dr Kamal Bose, a teacher of St Xavier’s College, said: “Those who have 50% marks can apply for the entrance test. Last date of submission of forms is May 16. While the entrance test for JAC board students will be held on May 17, the date of the test for students from ICSE and CBSE board will be declared later. Details can be found on our website www.sxcran.org.”
Admission forms are also available at Ranchi Women’s College, which is another popular girls’ college here. This college too has 640 seats for each stream.
