Ramgarh Police Arrest Suspect in 11-Year-Old Boy Abduction Attempt

Ramgarh: A fortnight after two kids Ansh and Anshika from Ranchi were rescued from Chitarpur of Ramgarh district, police on Thursday arrested a person identified as Naresh Mahto for an alleged abduction attempt of an 11-year-old boy. Ramgarh sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Parmeshwar Prasad on Thursday said that the boy was returning home alone from tution when he was abducted by a person hailing from Chhattar-Mandu under Ramgarh police station limits late on Wednesday evening. A FIR has been registered at Ramgarh police station under relevant sections of the law, police said. “The victim’s father is a businessman and possibly he was abducted to demand ransom,” the SDPO added.
