Rajiv Arun Ekka quizzed by ED for 2nd day in NREGA scam

RANCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned principal secretary Rajiv Arun Ekka for the second consecutive day on Tuesday on the basis of evidence found by the central agency during its raid conducted in connection with MNREGA scam and money laundering at different places since the past several months.


ED sources said Ekka was called again on Tuesday to get his response on some questions that were unanswered on Monday. The ED said the questioning has been completed. "Currently, no fresh summons has been issued to him," said a source.

The ED had summoned Ekka to quiz him on documentary evidences it had gathered during a raid conducted at Vishal Choudhary's house in May 2022. The operation was carried out in connection with the MNREGA scam and money laundering case.

The ED also showed the video to Ekka in which he was seen signing documents allegedly at Choudhary's office.
