Railway staff abducted

Hazaribag: Linga Reddy, supervisor of a railway construction company currently engaged in the completion of the line between Hazaribag and Barkakana section of the Koderma-Hazaribag-Barkakana-Ranchi railway line of the East Central Railway has been kidnapped from the construction site, said SP Manoj Kaushik on Friday.
The SP said he was kidnapped from the point of the Hazaribag Mufassil police station bordering Mandu police station of Ramgarh when he was about to board his official vehicle."Four assailants, who were hiding in the nearby bush suddenly attacked him with lathis and other lethal weeapons. They forcibly boarded his vehicle and sped towards the Simaria forests in Chatra district," he added.
The cause of abduction is yet to be known as no call demanding ransom has been received so far. The SP said, "We have alerted both the Ramgarh and Chatra police about the incident and ordered them to start operation for his rescue." It is yet to be ascertained whether the abductors had any link with TPC and JPC rebels, who are active in the area.
