Prez to visit Vinoba Bhave University on January 9

Hazaribag: President Pranab Mukherjee is set to visit Vinoba Bhave University(VBU) on January 9 to address the 7th Convention of the university.
VBU vice chancellor (VC) Gurdeep Singh said: "We received the official communication in this regard from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.
He added that the university has started preparations for the visit and has decided to hold the function at Vinodini Park named after the first VC of the varsity.
He said, "The President will reach VBU on January 9 with governor and chancellor of universities in Jharkhand, Droupadi Murmu. She will preside over the function."
The President is expected to reach the VBU campus at 3 pm and distribute the certificates among the candidates.
After spending one hour at VBU, the President will leave for Ranchi at 4pm alongwith the governor. More than 2500 candidates are expected to recive their degrees at the convocation.
