Police recover stolen jewellery in Dhanbad

Ranchi: Dhanbad police arrested one Akram Khan from Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district on Tuesday, recovering 1.1 kg of stolen gold, diamond, and silver jewellery along with Rs. 2 lakh cash. The victim, Moti ur Rehman, was travelling from Kolkata to Muzaffarpur by bus with jewellery for his daughter's wedding. When the bus halted in Govindpur, Dhanbad, Rehman and his son stepped out for dinner at a hotel. Taking advantage, Akram stole the bag containing ornaments from the bus. A special investigation team was formed, leading to the accused's arrest.
