Murmu to visit IIT-ISM Dhanbad today

Dhanbad: District administration on Thursday carried out the final rehearsal for the movement of President Droupadi Murmu's convoy, which will travel from the Barwadda airstrip to the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) campus on Friday.Murmu will attend the 45th convocation of IIT-ISM as chief guest. This event will also commemorate the institute's centenary year, the management said. Murmu is scheduled to arrive on campus on Thursday afternoon to deliver the convocation address and confer the prestigious President's Gold Medal.Besides Murmu, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, state higher and technical education minister Sudivya Kumar will attend the event.TNN
