The deceased, identified as Raja, reportedly went missing on Wednesday evening, from Chaitadih-based funeral ground, where he along with few other kids were playing. "The child's body was found in a village pond early on Thursday morning," police said.

"My son had gone to play in the nearest ground but did not return till late evening. It was around 8 pm when we called other villagers and launched a hunt for the kid but in vain. We recovered his body from the village pond today," the deceased's father
