Man shot at by kin over land dispute in Gumla

Gumla: A man was shot at allegedly by his relatives over a land dispute at Baranda village in Bharno police station of Gumla on Thursday night. The man, who was undergoing treatment at Paras Hospital in Ranchi, after sustaining critical injuries, was identified as Hemant Sahu (32) of the same village, police said. Acting swiftly, police arrested three persons — Shailesh Kumar Sahu (43), Anand Kumar Sahu (41) and Suraj Kumar Sahu (23). "We were informed that a man was shot at and was taken to a Ranchi hospital on Thursday night. On the complaint of the injured man, a police team led by SDPO Suresh Kumar Yadav arrested three persons involved in the crime and seized a revolver and six rounds, 23 live cartridges, four blank cartridges, one motorcycle used in committing the crime, and four mobile phones, within 12 hours," Gumla SP Haris Bin Zaman said.
