Man gets life term for murder

Koderma: The court of Additional District and Sessions judge in Koderma, Rakesh Chandra, on Thursday sentenced Shahid Khan (50), resident of Simariya Bhandar under Jainager police station limits to life imprisonment for killing Safiq Ahmed. An FIR was lodged with Jainagar police station on the complaint of Nagma Bahar, daughter of the deceased in 2021. Shahid had injured Safiq on his head by hitting with an axe over a land dispute. Safiq died during treatment. The court found Sahid guilty under sections 302/201 of IPC. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convicted accused.
