LOHARDAGA: In yet another road yatra, chief minister
Arjun Munda is all set to hit the district of Lohardaga on Friday to do a first hand check of development. The district, which was busy last week preparing for the high-profile visit, is all ready to welcome Munda. Deputy commissioner Ratan Kumar confirmed all programmes and security arrangements had been finalized.
On Thursday, Kaman, accompanied by SP Jitendra Kumar Singh, conducted a review meeting, which was attended by senior administrative and police officials.
“We have received a 35-minute programme of the CM. He will arrive at the collectorate ground at around 11 am and leave at 12.05 pm. During this time he will inaugurate 23 schemes, including two separate buildings for polytechnic colleges for boys and girls, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awashiya Vidhyalaya (KGBAV) for Kisko and Bhandra blocks, a Plus-2 school building at Maradih, a labour office and ANM school building, totalling about Rs 22 crore,” he said.
Stalls have been set up to showcase development works and other public welfare schemes implemented in the district. The CM will also distribute loans and assets worth about Rs 20 crore under various welfare schemes like the Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana and PM’s Employment Generation Programme.
Inauguration of an e-welfare scholarship is also on the cards. About 85,000 students have already been enlisted for online distribution of these scholarships. Lohardaga will be the first district to introduce this scholarship.
