Liquor brought from Bengal seized in Bokaro

The Bokaro excise department seized a large quantity of liquor from the Bokaro mall on Thursday evening. The department claimed that the mall's owner, Umesh Jain, along with his associates, had brought the consignment from West Bengal for doorstep delivery of liquor in Bokaro. "Many expensive brands of liquor were found during the raids inside the mall initially," the team arrested Faizal Ali Khan, a scooter rider who was going to deliver liquor from the mall based on his statement. A raid was conducted on the upper floor of the mall from where a huge number of expensive liquor bottles was recovered. The excise department team has also arrested Anuj Singh, who works in the security of the mall. Jain denied the allegation and said only a few bottles of expensive liquors and beers were kept after the showroom was closed, stating that he was not into illegal trade. He said he was struggling to reopen the showroom, and there is a lot of demand for expensive liquor in Bokaro but the government-run liquor shops do not provide many popular brands.
