Kidnapped Koderma teen recovered in 24 hours, 3 held
Patna, April 25 (IANS) In a shocking case from Bihar, four individuals — including two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) — have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and extortion case, an official said on Saturday.
Koderma: A day after a 14-year-old boy, Chandan Kumar, was allegedly kidnapped by his brother-in-law while he was walking home after school in Jhumri Telaiya area of Koderma, he was rescued by police on Thursday.SP Kumar Shivashish said, “Acting on the missing complaint lodged by boy’s sister Veena Devi, a special investigation team was formed to probe into the case. The team tracked the boy to one Santosh Sinha’s home at Morianwa village under the Telaiya police station limits. The police arrested the mastermind, Suraj Yadav, along with two associates, Pintu Kumar of Gaya in Bihar and Santosh Sinha.”“Investigations revealed that Suraj planned the kidnapping to put pressure on the victim’s family into allowing him to marry his sister-in-law. The three had planned to kill him if the family did not agree to Suraj’s demands. Further investigation is under way,” he added.
