Kalpana criticises Centre for withholding mining royalty

Chatra: Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren criticised the Union govt for withholding mining royalty, while addressing a gathering in Mayurhund of Simaria assembly constituency, on Saturday. She highlighted that whilst Jharkhand approaches its 24-year of formation, the state continues to struggle for its rightful claims.
Kalpana also commended chief minister Hemant Soren for initiating and executing various public welfare schemes. Whilst campaigning for JMM candidate Manoj Chandra in Simaria, Kalpana expressed gratitude for the public support that brought the party to power.
She sought continued support for Hemant in the upcoming elections to facilitate implementation of welfare schemes. Kalpana said, "Hemant Soren has been fighting with the Centre demanding pending mining royalty of Rs 1.36 lakh crore. This sum belongs to the people of this state and Hemant ji has asked the Union govt for its release. However, it is denying the state its due rights."
Kalpana highlighted that the Hemant govt issued 20 lakh green ration cards, contrasting with the previous double engine govt's cancellation of 11 lakh cards. She noted Hemant govt's educational initiatives, particularly the establishment of CM schools of excellence, are today at par with the standards of any private school.
