Ranchi: The Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025, conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), was held smoothly at all 96 centres of Ranchi district amid elaborate security arrangements.
Ranchi deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri stated that there was no untoward incident or any use of unfair practices.
In a joint order issued by the DC and SSP Rakesh Ranjan, magistrates and police personnel were deployed at the centres to ensure law and order and fair examination. Police patrolling was also carried out around the centres.
Sadar SDO Kumar Rajat imposed a prohibitory order under Section 163 of BNSS in a radius of 200 metres around the centres, restricting the gathering of five or more persons, carrying of arms and ammunition, use of loudspeakers and public meetings from 7 am to 8 pm.
The exams were held in other cities as well. JPSC has announced vacancies for 103 posts, including 28 deputy collectors, 42 DSPs, 10 assistant town commissioners/executive officers and special officers, among others.
