Ranchi: Traditional cuisines from Jharkhand continued to attract food lovers from across the country and around the globe at the ongoing Bharat Parv-2026 in New Delhi. On Tuesday, French students walked into the stall of Ranchi-based Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) and tried traditional dishes such as Dhuska and Alu Chana.“The guests praised the taste, simplicity, and uniqueness of the cuisine, noting its strong connection with local culture and sustainable food practices," said IHM principal Bhupesh Kumar. Chef Hare Krishna Chaudhary, under whose guidance the students prepared the dishes visitors on the nutritional value, cultural depth, and heritage of Jharkhandi cuisine.

Bharat Parv–2026, the six-day national cultural and tourism festival, is being held from 26 to 31 January 2026 at the Red Fort Lawns and Gyan Path, as part of the Republic Day celebrations.“Notably, IHM Ranchi had achieved national recognition, including an entry in the India Book of Records for its initiatives in millet promotion, aligning with the national mission on millets," PIB statement said.
