Jamshedpur: Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra reviewed the progress of the ongoing investigation into the kidnapping of the trader’s son, Kairav Gandhi. The top cop, on her visit to the city, visited the Kadma-Sonari link road, from where Kairav was allegedly abducted on Jan 13. During the inspection, the DGP inquired about the nearby routes that connect the link road. The findings from footage from the 100-plus CCTVs screened by the investigation team were briefed to the DGP.
Later, she chaired a meeting at SSP Piyush Pandey’s residential office and reviewed the progress of the anti-crime initiatives of the district police.
“Narcotics cases, organised crime, land grabbing, and law and order in general were reviewed. The kidnapping case was also discussed at the meeting,” said the SSP. The senior SP said that the DGP issued some specific directions for investigation into the kidnapping case. Earlier, the police were caught unawares when the DGP reportedly made a surprise landing in the city.
