RANCHI: Congress on Sunday suspended 13 party workers for six years for indulging in anti-party activities.
West Singhbhum district topped the chart with a maximum of eight followed by four from Hazaribag and one from Lohardaga. Prominent names included Sunny Sinku, who contested from Jaganathpur seat in 2014 and senior functionary of Hazaribag Sachidanand Pandey.

Apart from that, Sajid Ahmed from Lohardaga was suspended for campaigning against party’s official candidate and state congress president Rameshwar Oraon. More suspensions are likely in coming days.
