RANCHI: On the eve of World Environment Day, offices of Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL), the state-owned power distribution company, turned green as employees joined hands with their bosses to plant 10,000 saplings in all the seven area boards, throughout the state.

The employees also cleaned up their respective offices, power sub-stations and power grids.

" Our target is to plant at least 50,000 trees at all our campuses within the next one year. We intend to convert all our offices throughout the state into Urja Parks," JBVNL GM (Ranchi) Prabhat Kumar Srivastava said.

“Our plan is to convert all sub-stations, power grid stations and administrative offices into people-friendly outlets. Sheds, water filters, seating arrangements would be put up for the benefit of consumers,” the GM said.
