Illegal liquor manufacturing unit busted, over 2.6k bottles of fake IMFL brands seized

Ranchi: Police busted a counterfeit liquor manufacturing unit located inside the Surya Nagar colony under the Ratu police station and seized 2,656 liquor bottles of fake premium brands. The unit was found operating from a building and one person identified as Hemraj Sao was arrested during the raid. Police recovered counterfeit liquor bottles of popular brands, including Black Diamond, McDowells, Royal Challenge, 8 PM and Sterling Reserve, along with manufacturing materials. The operation was initiated following intelligence about the illegal production and interstate distribution of fake Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). The unit was reportedly supplying counterfeit products both locally and to neighbouring states.
