Illegal Gun Factory Busted in Ranchi: Owner Arrested, 19 Rifles Seized
Ranchi: An illegal gun manufacturing factory was busted at Sitadih village under the Angara police station limits of Ranchi district and its owner, Narayan Lohra, arrested on Friday. A total of 19 assembled country-made single barrel rifles and four incomplete ones were seized.SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar said, “Acting on information about the manufacturing and sale of illegal weapons, a team raided the house of Narayan Lohra and seized the weapons. He used to sell the weapons for Rs 10, 000 to Rs 15,000. A blacksmith by profession, he was involved in the illegal trade for the past five years to earn more profit.”

A case has been registered under sections 25 and 25 (1-8) A of the Arms Act.
