DUMKA: Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited has claimed that JMM chief Shibu Soren has not cleared power bills for a long time. The dues for consumption of power at the house registered in the name of Shibu Soren's late elder son Durga at Khijyriya are estimated at over Rs 2.62 lakhs. Earlier, the state high court had asked the power supplier to raise outstanding dues from its customers. "As per records, there is an amount of Rs 2.62 lakh pending against the name of Durga Soren at Khijuriya," superintending engineer Harendra Kumar Singh said.Since Durga's death in 2009, no initiative has been taken by the family to change the consumer's name or pay the dues. Shibu's second son and former CM Hemant Soren said, "I don't have any information regarding the arrears. I will look into the matter".
