Ranchi: The Jharkhand high court on Monday granted bail to former DAV Kapildev School principal Manoj Kumar Sinha who was in custody after he was charged with sexual harassment and rape.
The bench of Justice Subhash Chand heard Sinha’s petition and after considering the merits of the matter granted him bail.
A nurse of the school had filed an FIR alleging that she was harassed by Sinha when he was the principal of the school.
Sinha had gone underground soon after the FIR was registered and claimed that he has been framed and is a victim of a conspiracy. He was arrested by the police from Jamshedpur on May 22 and was in custody ever since. tnn
