Hazaribag: The city reverberated with chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ as the Hazaribag Art and Culture Trust organised a grand Shiv Baraat on the occasion of Mahashivratri, drawing hundreds of devotees to the streets in a vibrant display of faith and cultural fervour.The religious procession began from Devangana Chowk and passed through Korrra Chowk, Babugaon, Matwari, District Board Chowk, Ananda Chowk, Nawabganj Road, Main Road, Jhanda Chowk, Bada Akhada, Mahavir Sthan, Panch Mandir Chowk and Bansilal Chowk before culminating near the old bus stand.

The highlight of the event was a Shiv Tandav troupe from Ujjain, whose energetic and theatrical performance captivated the crowd.Dressed in traditional attire, the artists’ enactment recreated the aura of Lord Shiva’s celestial wedding procession. Young women riding two-wheelers in traditional outfits added to the visual spectacle and emerged as a major attraction.
