Hazaribag admin lens on black marketing of LPG cylinders
Mumbai, March 11 (IANS) Shares of home appliance makers traded higher on Wednesday as e-commerce platforms witnessed a surge in purchases of electric stoves and induction cooktops amid the Middle East conflict, over reports of potential LPG shortages.
Hazaribag: The district administration on Wednesday directed LPG distributors to ensure transparency in cylinder distribution and warned of strict action against black marketing.Sadar sub divisional officer (SDO) Aditya Pandey, in a meeting with various LPG agencies, said any complaint of black marketing would invite stringent action. He also stressed easing access for students living in hostels and lodges in Hazaribag, directing agencies to provide small cylinders (FTL) to them on the basis of valid institutional ID cards.

The SDO outlined timelines for gas supply, stating that cylinders must be delivered within 45 days of application in rural areas and within 25 days in urban areas after booking. Pandey informed consumers that they can directly lodge complaints related to gas supply with the district supply officer. He also appealed to citizens to cooperate in maintaining transparency in the distribution system and report any irregularities promptly. EOM
