The move has been planned in order to request the state government to allow publication of their results which have remained pending since 2017. The job aspirants have also met all the ministers from the state government and they have assured them they will be raising the matter at the cabinet meeting scheduled on Thursday.
Ghulam Hussain, a panchayat secretary aspirant, said: “Our appointments have been hanging in balance after the state government decided to conduct a re-examination on over 4,000 posts for which candidates were selected and the merit list was also prepared. We are requesting the government to reconsider their decision.” On being asked if the ministers have assured them that they will raise their matter in the cabinet, why are they going for a human chain, Hussain added that they just want the leaders to remember.
