Four minors held for attacking traffic constable in Bokaro

Bokaro: Four minor boys were detained on Tuesday for allegedly attacking a traffic constable during a vehicle checking drive in the city a day earlier. A country-made gun was also recovered from them.

Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh said constable Dilip Kumar Singh was conducting routine vehicle checking at Nayamoad on Monday. “When he signalled a motorcycle carrying four youths to stop, they became aggressive, abused him, and began fighting. As Singh attempted to detain one of them, the youth allegedly attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon with the intent to harm. The accused then fled on their motorcycle," he said.

After the incident, police lodged a case and formed a special team for raids. “The minors were produced in court and sent to the juvenile homes," said SP.
