Elephant creates panic near school in Chatra

Chatra: An elephant unleashed a reign of terror for the last three days near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the Mahapur area close to Chatra. On Sunday night, the elephant broke the boundary wall of the school and created an atmosphere of fear in this area. A matter of relief is that summer vacation is ongoing at the school these days.Local villagers said this wild elephant has been roaming in the nearby areas for some time. However, for the first time, an elephant reached till town area and damaged the boundary wall of the school, putting the safety of the children in danger. The school management has demanded from the administration that the elephant be driven away towards the forest for the safety of the school students. The forest department team said they are keeping an eye on the elephant.
