Driver injured after truck hits crash barrier on GT road

Chatra: A container truck driver was seriously injured after his vehicle collided with a crash barrier near Bardbohi bridge in Hazaribag district's Dakdih area on Thursday morning. The truck was traveling from Kolkata.
The driver, identified as Shrikant Yadav from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, was trapped in the driver's seat following the collision. Barkatha police, along with local residents, conducted a rescue operation that lasted several hours to extract him from the wreckage.
Yadav was subsequently rushed to the Barkatha community health centre for treatment. The accident caused significant traffic congestion on GT road, which was later cleared following police intervention.
